Salary Range: $68,000 to $72,000
The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
JOB SUMMARY
Collaborate with School of Engineering Lab Management Team to support the safety, operations, and maintenance of Mechanical Engineering Labs and Fabrication Shop; support students and faculty in project development while fostering a supportive student-centered learning environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field
Prior experience working in an educational or academic environment
Broad experience with fabrication tools and equipment across multiple areas (e.g., machining, woodworking, welding)
Experience planning, designing, or organizing lab, shop, or fabrication spaces
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Ability to work in and move about fabrication shop, educational lab, and office settings; ability to set up engineering, testing, and shop equipment; ability to transport up to 94 pounds; ability to operate material handling equipment, ability to read construction drawings, printed materials and a computer screen; ability to use a computer; ability to communicate in person, in writing, on teleconferences, and over the telephone.
