OVERVIEW

Salary Range: $52,920 to $60,000

 

The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.

 

JOB SUMMARY

Working under direction of the Faculty Director of the Selim Center for Lifelong Learning, the Program Manager oversees daily operations of the Center, which serves more than 1,000 adult learners each year. The Program Manager serves as central point of contact for all operations-related matters, including leading the Center’s communication strategy; providing operations oversight for the Center and its programs; managing Selim Center budgets, and implementing program assessments. The Program Manager also assists the Faculty Director with Selim Center strategy.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Marketing and Communication:

  • Lead marketing and communications efforts to promote Selim Center programming
  • Design, develop, and manage the Center’s online presence (web site, social media, e-newsletter) and print materials (catalogs, brochures)
  • Manage the Center’s mailing list in partnership with Alumni Relations
  • Assist with fundraising communications

Operations Oversight:

  • Oversee daily operations for all Center functions
  • Issue contracts and manage Selim faculty and program facilitators
  • Serve as back-of-the-house manager for programs and events, including organizing program space, catering, and instructional technologies (for in-person and virtual programs)

Budgets:

  • Manage Selim budgets

Program Assessment:

  • Manage assessment of Selim programs

Selim Center Strategy:

  • Assist the Faculty Director in designing and developing programs that provide high-quality educational experiences for Selim Center students
  • Provide support for the Selim Center Advisory Board

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three years of operations and/or project management experience

An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired may be substituted.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a higher education or adult education setting
