Salary Range: $78,200 - $83,000

JOB SUMMARY
The ERP Software Engineer plays a key role within the Enterprise Application Operations team, supporting the University of
St. Thomas’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system—currently Ellucian Banner—managed by the University of St. Thomas
hosted in the AWS Cloud. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining ERP-related applications, including
programming tasks across various modules, building APIs, creating data pipelines, and developing system interfaces.
The ERP Software Engineer collaborates closely with IT Architects, Developers, and Database Administrators to design,
implement, and test new features and functionality aligned with the University’s strategic goals. The role requires strong
experience with multiple development platforms and programming languages, along with a deep understanding of ERP
systems and cloud environments.
Required Daily/After-Hours Communication
The person in this position must have access to wireless communication device for the ability to be reached during and/or
after normal work hours to provide support, answer questions and/or provide input for required decisions on short notice as is
required of a manager, application owner or support person.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide ERP support, assist with ERP patches/upgrades, and follow development life cycle
for development efforts. Develop APIs, create data pipelines and automate integration
data shared across legacy through various ETL strategies. Provide recommendations on
how to improve departmental standards and ensure UST and ITS processes are followed
for system development. Provide expert technical knowledge in decision making for
technical solutions that best meet the customers’ need at UST.
Plan, design, develop, install, test and document the launch research or new development
projects. Create system design specifications based on functional requirements. Work
closely with the project team including key users to determine solutions to business
needs.
Provide accurate, timely and useful information for UST Faculty, Staff, and Students; Cost
effective systems; develop timelines and coordinate project team efforts; successful and
timely completion of projects.
Follow and support department protocols for all department specific procedures and
policies such as communication, change management, outage planning, customer
services, and tracking and resolving issues.
Attend to administrative tasks such as attending department/team meetings, send and
receive email, respond to voicemail.
Call/incident tracking, Installation and Inventory, Knowledge Base and Communication
Guidelines.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud
computing and ERP system to recommend and implement improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of related professional experience with programming and operating systems
