Salary Range: $55,000 to $61,000

 

The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.

 

JOB SUMMARY

Manages the scheduling, coordination and planning of external events at the University of St Thomas. This position is responsible for expanding the external client base, growing rental revenue, promoting and marketing St. Thomas event services and venues to external prospects, and managing the facility rental process.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Markets and manages year-round facility rental services to external prospects; solicits appropriate new business aligned with the university mission and policies, responds to RFP’s; tours prospective clients, books reservations, creates and executes contractual agreements and other forms as required; oversees confirmation process, schedules events using internal business processes.
  2. Coordinates on-campus services for external clients and develops collaborative working relationships with campus event support departments to ensure client expectations are met and internal resources are used efficiently.
  3. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with state, business and local organizations for the purpose of soliciting new accounts. Serves as the department’s liaison with applicable associations. Regularly attends and participates in industry trade events.
  4. Develops and manages department’s marketing efforts, including use of social media, print and digital promotional materials and campaigns, and the department web site.
  5. Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Three years of professional events and conference management experience, preferably in higher education

  • Sales and marketing experience
