Salary Range: $44,600- $60,000

 

The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Admissions Processor (Data Processing Analyst) manages the application documents and student leads for undergraduate and graduate admissions, ensuring a smooth transition from inquiry to orientation. This role demands meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to accurately manage all documentation.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

Enrollment Database Management:

  • Process and monitor all stages of the admissions funnel for a student: inquiry, application, acceptance, and deposit.
  • Ensure accurate entry and maintenance of inquiries and applicant data in the university’s student information system and CRM.
  • Manage and archive application and enrollment documents in accordance with university policies and legal requirements.

Communication and Support:

  • Provide timely and accurate information regarding prospective students to admissions staff regarding application requirements, deadlines, and enrollment procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between various university departments, including Financial Aid, Registrar, and Student Life, to ensure a seamless transition for incoming students.
  • Handle inquiries and provide solutions or direct issues to appropriate departments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate student application files by processing record changes and enrollment materials and facilitating ongoing communication with the enrollment teams about students' funnel progression.
  • Develop and update documentation that outlines inquiry database practices and application file management requirements.
  • Help train, assist, and supervise student workers to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities, while also addressing any questions and concerns they may have.

Reporting and Analysis: 

  • Generate detailed reports tracking the progression of applicants through the admissions funnel.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements based on data analysis.

Collaboration and Process Improvement: 

  • Collaborate with IT and Admissions staff to enhance the functionality and efficiency of admissions systems and software.
  • Participate in cross-departmental meetings to ensure that admissions processes align with broader university objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of one (1) year in an admissions or administrative role within higher education
  • Proven experience in managing complex processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
