OVERVIEW

The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity invites qualified candidates to apply for a Creative Content Specialist (Multi-media Content Spec).

 

This position has a full time equivalency (FTE) of .80. We anticipate the role to work 32 hours per week, 12 months out of the year.

 

THE SAINT PAUL SEMINARY SCHOOL OF DIVINITY

The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity (SPSSOD) is operated under an affiliation agreement between the University of St. Thomas, the Saint Paul Seminary and the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.  The vision, mission and core values are as follows:

Salary Range: $46,670 to $60,094

 

The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.

 

 

JOB SUMMARY

This role is essential to telling the story of The Saint Paul Seminary in compelling, creative ways that inspire generous supporters and future Church leaders. You'll shape narratives that elevate our mission across platforms – web, social, video, print – and play a key role in helping families, parishes and communities throughout the Upper Midwest thrive.

 

This position is full-time and reports to the Director of Marketing, Communications and Innovation for The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity. It includes planning, execution and analysis of marketing and communications activities: execution of a strategic marketing plan; support of strategic funding and recruiting initiatives; and management of online and offline content creation. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Serves as the seminary’s content creation expert by tracking, testing and iterating with the most relevant tools and trends, including artificial intelligence. This includes input on the seminary’s marketing technological stack.
  • Captures, edits and evaluates digital storytelling and thought leadership video, podcast and emerging media content for distribution on web, social and offline platforms.
  • Captures, edits and manages all digital photography on behalf of The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity. Work includes event, action, portrait, still life and lifestyle photography.
  • Plans, executes and evaluates a variety of digital and print design projects (includes copywriting and design). Owns creation and project management of the seminary’s quarterly magazine, The Epistle.
  • Contributes to the creation and management of a seminary-wide digital asset management (DAM) platform for easy storage and use of photography and video files.
  • Supports planning and execution of seminary’s internal communications plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field
  • 2-3 years of professional marketing communications experience

An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired

may be substituted.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in graphic design, photography and/or videography
