This is a full-time, fully benefits eligible position that works 12 months out of the year. This position works a variety of hours, rotating their schedule based on business need and will include nights and weekends.

Salary Range: $50,000 to $61,500

JOB SUMMARY
The responsibilities for this manager position oversees the daily operational tasks of the campus coffee shops (Steam Cafe/Stacks/Loft/Corner Market which are 8-month operations) and the campus convenience stores (Summit Marketplace) which are 12-month operations); coordinating the hiring and training of all FTE and student staff and assisting with all policies and procedures within those units.
This position reports to the Executive Director of Dining Services and as a retail manager is expected to ensure a consistent offering of quality products and services within the retail locations/operations listed above.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Management: Responsible for supervising student and full-time staff including hiring, scheduling, coaching and training. Tasks include overseeing and assisting with the execution of set up, service and cleanup of the daily operations, maintaining an aesthetically pleasing retail outlet and pleasing service/seating area.
· Oversight of daily operations in all locations.
· Oversight and or set up cash drawers
· Review deliveries for accurate quantities and quality
· Review daily staffing schedule
· Assist and provide customer service as necessary in any/all locations
· Maintain clean and sanitary work locations
2. Inventory Management: Maintain appropriate levels of weekly inventory
· Conduct timely weekly inventory with accuracy
· Order food, supplies, product inventory, and maintain par levels
· Rotate products and ensure the assortment is relevant.
· Research new products and eliminate non-sellers.
· Contact vendors as necessary
3. Supervision: Supervise full-time staff and student employees effectively
· Daily/weekly/monthly training and coaching of staff
· Scheduling of FTE and student employees
· Hiring and orientation of new FTE’s and student staff
· Train employees in proper food safety and sanitation practices
· Discipline staff as necessary
4. Financials: Complete daily cash deposits and vendor invoicing
· Depositing daily cash sales
· Recording of daily sales
· Understand financial reporting and use data in decision making.
