Salary Range: $59,765 to $89,650

 

The University of St. Thomas has provided a salary range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Enrollment Management Business Analyst will manage the relationship between the Enrollment Management team (“business users”) and technology teams in ITS, specifically CRM/Salesforce, Marketing Cloud/Pardot, CognosBI, Banner and others. This role supports Enrollment Management efforts in leveraging these tools and technologies. They will work collaboratively with ITS administrators, developers, and product owners to implement and troubleshoot technology products for use by Enrollment Management staff and leadership. They will also work collaboratively academic units, including school and college leadership teams, recruiters and program directors.

 

The Enrollment Management Business Analyst will be responsible for training enrollment staff on utilizing Salesforce, Marketing Cloud/Pardot, and other enrollment-related software effectively to recruit, enroll and retain prospective students. While they will not be in a student-facing role, they will need to understand recruitment strategy in order to lead the functional analysis and requirements refinement of mission-critical technologies.

 

This role oversees user acceptance testing by the Enrollment Management team and will communicate testing feedback with the development teams in ITS to ensure timely implementation. Effective written and verbal communication skills are imperative for this role, as is a willingness to cooperate effectively with diverse units across the campus.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

Communication & Strategy Implementation

  • Act as a liaison between the Enrollment Management team and technical experts in ITS
  • Assist with eliciting, analyzing, documenting and communicating project requirements and user stories that satisfy stakeholder and project needs
  • Lead project planning, supporting in the execution and development of all technology-related projects that impact Enrollment Management
  • Quickly understand Enrollment Management’s desired direction, structure, and requirements of new technology implementations

Training and Support

  • Support and train Enrollment Management staff as well as enrollment and recruiting staff in the schools and colleges on best practices for successful use of all enrollment-related technology platforms
  • Compile training documentation and oversee training plans for new technology features and lead functional implementation of new technology products
  • Provide advanced functional troubleshooting to quickly resolve less complex issues without involving technical experts in ITS

Project Management & Support

  • Assist project managers in setting appropriate timelines, prioritizing critical issues and being a spokesperson for Enrollment Management needs
  • Help with enforcement of project deadlines and schedules; attend all planning sessions to ensure proper staffing and prioritization vs. other campus units

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • At least three years of professional experience involving technology product management, project management, higher education recruiting and enrollment, or another relevant combination of experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working with CRM technology including Salesforce or mass communications software such as Marketing Cloud or Pardot
  • Working in fast-paced technology development cycles and gathering complex technical requirements from functional stakeholders

The equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired may be substituted.
