Salary Range: $97,350 to $136,550

The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information.
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Vice President and Director of Athletics, the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Administration will serve on the athletics leadership team with responsibility for all business, budget and financial planning and execution for the department of athletics. This includes management of athletics staff and university relationships associated with strategic financial planning and budget management, departmental travel, purchasing, and other business related to financial management. This individual will be a highly visible member of the athletics leadership team, requiring effective collaboration with key campus and external partners including the Office of Business Affairs and Auxiliary Services, Title IX, the General Counsel, Human Resources, the NCAA campus FAR and various external vendors. Additionally, the Sr. Associate AD will have direct oversight of the Office of Athletics Compliance and will serve as the sport administrator for several assigned sports including women’s basketball. The incumbent leaving this position served as the Senior Woman Administrator (SWA). Effective leadership and communication skills are expected as the individual requires capable management and collaboration with staff and coaches.
Budget, Finance and Purchasing
Prepare, build and present department budget based on strategic alignment with both university and athletics initiatives. Supervise and monitor the annual athletic budget and approval of major department purchases. Post balance transfers, run and analyze budget reports and advise the VP & Director of Athletics, leadership team, and staff on budget trends throughout the fiscal year. Responsible for all department vendor contracts. Supervise and direct all department travel. Additionally, responsible for required annual NCAA reporting as it relates to financial and EADA reports.
Human Resources
Work with individual programs, sport administrators and the VP & Director of Athletics on all staffing plans, personnel recruitment, coach contracts, staff performance review programs. Establish, communicate, and facilitate an annual feedback program for staff.
Compliance
Provide oversight for the Office of Athletics Compliance (staff of 2) by helping to create a culture of compliance, attend NCAA annual regional rules seminar and Convention, and support ongoing education, automation and training.
Sport Administration
Supervise coaches and the day-to-day management of assigned intercollegiate teams. This includes performance evaluation, monitoring eligibility and compliance with NCAA and conference rules, regular monitoring of the student-athlete experience, and effective relationship management with all appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
Strategic Planning
At the direction of the VP & Director of Athletics, responsible for the oversight of the development, implementation, and tracking of the athletics strategic plan. This includes identifying strategic department initiatives with a focus on interdepartmental collaboration and positive culture. Serve as liaison between department staff/coaches, senior leaders and all institutional partnerships as it relates to the athletic strategic plan, optimizing ways for current process improvement and coordination of department procedures.
