OVERVIEW

The University of St. Thomas invites qualified, current employees to apply for a Cook I position. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide assistance in the food preparation of meals in back-of-house or front-of-house operations
  • Interact with customers and prepare customized, made-to-order menu items in a high-volume environment
  • Prep food throughout shift and assist all culinary staff in completing prep sheet
  • Set up/close down open line workstation for service
  • Follow ServSafe food handling guidelines and maintain a clean work station

This position works a flexible schedule based on business needs and could include nights and weekends.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least one to two years of experience in short order food preparation and/or volume cooking
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is a condition of employment for all Dining Services positions
