JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for, but not limited to recruitment of outstanding student-athletes, coaching at the individual and team level, video analysis, skill development of student athletes, and game/practice planning. Specific daily emphasis on recruiting, practice planning, motivating and mentoring student athletes and game planning duties as assigned by head coach. Secondary emphasis on alumni events, community engagement, and academic support of players.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Recruiting
Identify, evaluate, and recruit outstanding prospective student-athletes - local, regional, national, and international. Establish and cultivate strong relationships with high school and club coaches. Participate in the planning and execution of unofficial and official recruiting visits. Maintain and manage recruiting logs and contact dates/times. Assist with promoting our university and women’s soccer program through social media channels.
Student-athlete development and mentorship
Assist with the instruction, assessment, and growth of women’s soccer student-athletes. Assist in implementation and management of academic progress. Serve as active participant in student-athlete progress off the court in a holistic approach.
Administrative
Assist with daily administrative duties for all aspects of the program. Organize team travel to matches including ground transportation, lodging and meals. Work collaboratively with head coach, equipment manager and vendor on team equipment ordering. Contribute to the management and requesting of program annual operating budget. Plan, coordinate and establish initial contact for future program scheduling. Review and evaluate practice and game video and prepare scouting reports.
Team building, game and practice planning
Assist with organizing, administering, and supporting team building, practice planning, and game planning. Preparations involving video breakdown and analysis. Maintain practice records in accordance with NCAA and conference guidelines.
