    The University of St. Thomas invites qualified candidates to apply for a Part-time Tommie Shop Associate position within the Anderson Student Center.

    The part-time Tommie Shop Associate will be a key player in promoting Tommie pride across the University of St. Thomas. This role is housed primarily in Anderson Student Center and will collaborate with the Tommie Shop Manager on a daily basis. The Shop Associate will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Tommie Shop and have a great impact on the University's students, staff, faculty and visitors.


    This position is required to work up to 20-25 hours per week, depending on business needs. Scheduled shifts may fall on Mon-Sat between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Work schedule flexibility is essential, as the schedule can vary depending on what events are taking place (Homecoming, Football Games, etc).     1. Assist in opening and closing the store on a regular basis. This will include counting down the cash drawers and printing reports as needed.  
    2. Assist in the stocking and merchandising of the Tommie Shop and any of the other Campus Stores.   To include creating appealing visual displays and merchandising. This position will provide exceptional customer service to the UST customer              
    3. Supervise student workers during their shifts and assign breaks when permitted. As a student supervisor, this position will give directions to student workers; provide feedback to the student employees and to follow through that the assigned tasks are completed to the satisfaction of the store.
    4. Assist the Clothing Buyers in keeping an accurate inventory.   This will include entering items in the Inventory Management System.  These items can include markdowns, stock transfers, and new items.
    5. Other duties assigned by the Tommie Shop Manager or Campus Store Director.


    Minimum Qualifications

    • High school diploma, GED, CHSPE, HSED, or HEP
    • Creative individual that will help to create attractive displays on a daily basis
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to project a very positive and professional image to the St. Thomas community

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to transport up to 25 pounds
    • Ability to reach above their head to merchandise walls or place merchandise on shelves
    • Comfortable climbing ladders
    • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time
