The Talent Acquisition Specialist will serve as a pro-active and creative partner to department leads and hiring officials across the University in the recruitment and screening of a diverse pool of qualified candidates. The Talent Acquisition Specialist manages the full cycle talent acquisition process for assigned business areas and delivers timely talent acquisition services by collaborating with hiring officials and search committees utilizing best practice strategies.
Manage the full recruitment cycle process for open positions in assigned departments, to include sourcing candidates, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, interviewing candidates, and conducting reference checks.
Manage new employee onboarding to include; negotiating offers, creating of offer letters, initiation of background checks, and managing the new employee orientation program.
Collaborate with Hiring Officials and HR Business Partners during Talent Strategy Meetings and Search Committee Kick-Off Meetings to attract the best talent to the University, establish candidate selection criteria, and create recruitment strategies.
Develop standardized interview methodologies for Hiring Officials and Search Committee members to ensure objective evaluation of candidates and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Drive a strategic sourcing approach for assigned vacancies leveraging multiple recruiting sources such as iCIMS (Applicant Tracking System), job boards, professional associations, and techniques to identify and engage applicants.
Ancillary responsibilities to include one of the following:
Oversees the Student Employment Program. Works with hiring managers to ensure a smooth hiring process of students and assists with performance issues and disciplinary procedures.
Create, track and analyze key metrics designed to measure, predict and improve recruiting effectiveness to include; year-end reporting. Oversees LinkedIn function and other related social media presence(s).
Manage day-to-day recruitment vendor relationships such as pre-employment check vendor, talent management system vendor and job board vendor.
Ensure all recruiting and hiring practices are in accordance with federal and state employment law ensuring fair employment practices; and ensures all hiring processes are in accordance with University policies and procedures.
