The Senior Program Director is responsible for the overall development and delivery of the co- and extra-curricular programs offered by the Schulze School of Entrepreneurship. These programs target both external constituencies, including high school students/teachers/counselors and alumni/business/entrepreneurial community, as well as internal audiences, including students and faculty across the university, and comprise a diverse range of events, including workshops, venture competitions, and mentoring and internship programs. These programs are offered as complements to the academic programming and are meant to extend the visibility and impact of entrepreneurial education at the Schulze School among high school students, current UST students in disciplines throughout the University, and the business community and entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Twin Cities. Success in programming is measured by enrollments, participant satisfaction, and program quality.


In partnership with the Associate Dean of the Schulze School and shared services team members, the senior director sets program-level strategies and goals, leads the implementation of key initiatives, and manages innovation and continuous improvement efforts. The senior director will oversee the work of a dedicated team that includes a program director and coordinator as well as student workers. The director also engages regularly with shared services staff in marketing, admissions & recruiting, career services, student services, academic operations, instructional innovation, and external relations to achieve program outcomes. In addition to overseeing the work of the team, the Senior Program Director will also have their own portfolio of events/programs that they will be responsible for managing. The director partners with the Associate Dean, shared services, business partners, and faculty to insure that the co- and extra-curricular offerings are current, relevant, engaging, and effective.



  • Program leadership:  Partners with Associate Dean to develop program-level strategies and goals, then takes the lead in overseeing implementation of key initiatives, and managing innovation and continuous improvement efforts. Partners with Associate Dean to set project priorities, determine resource allocation, and monitor progress. Maintains overall responsibility for enrollment goals, program quality and participant satisfaction. Works with internal shared services and business partners to deliver product and establish a strong partnership.  Consistently evaluates programs for future opportunities and improvement.
  • Program management: Oversees development and delivery of all programs, managing a dedicated team, and serving as primary lead on a select group of programs. Leads team meetings to assess progress, address challenges, and problem-solve solutions. In collaboration with Associate Dean, pursues partnerships and collaborations within and outside the University that promote the ability of the Schulze School to develop and deliver impactful programs.  Along with the Associate Dean, represents the Schulze School with faculty, staff, the University, and external partners.
  • Team management: Drives program delivery and development through effective coaching, collaboration and management of Schulze team. Engages effectively with shared-service representatives from marketing, admissions and recruiting, student services, academic operations, academic departments, instructional transformation, external relations, and career services. Maintains system for performance review across Schulze staff. Embodies those qualities that support an effective, efficient, inspired workplace. Supports Schulze School staff members in optimally contributing to the achievement of overall programmatic goals and objectives. 
  • Financial management:  In collaboration with the Associate Dean, manages the development of an annual operating budget for the Schulze School and monitors expenditures. Develops monthly reports tracking expenditures against budget. 
  • Program marketing: Works with Associate Dean and College leadership in development of marketing strategies, and provides feedback on effectiveness of initiatives.





Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Seven years of program administration experience. 


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree and relevant professional experience in higher education administration, and a track record in building and sustaining successful educational programs, preferably in a business school.
  • Possession of an MBA or graduate degree from an AACSB accredited business school, and/or relevant experience, including but not limited to admissions, student life, or career services, in such a program, strongly preferred.
